Our passion: building a foundation of care
Shaping Futures was born from a deep love for children and a commitment to their education and well-being. All too often, childcare staff face challenges in managing big emotions and challenging behaviours, leaving them feeling stumped. With years of experience supporting children, it has become a natural love to nurture and guide them appropriately. Educators need to feel appreciated, supported, and confident to provide holistic care. We strive to create strong, evidence-informed educators who can holistically support children in their care.
From personal experience to professional expertise
As a mum of four children with additional needs, I understand the struggles of supporting children with big emotions, managing challenging behaviours, and navigating where to seek help. Through decades of research, experience, and knowledge, I've learned to support my own children and friends' children to understand their big feelings, comprehend what's happening for them, and provide effective ways to navigate these experiences. My years of child protection experience have instilled in me a deep love for ensuring children feel safe, supported, and cherished.

We work with our clients by providing real-time, up-to-date training that is tailor-made to suit the specific needs of each childcare centre. Our guidance covers everything from child protection to understanding challenging behaviours, disabilities, and the intricacies of security. As an accredited social worker with lived experiences of children with big emotions and family struggles, and having led very successful teams, I bring a unique blend of empathy, practical knowledge, and professional expertise to every partnership.
